1. Add a new PWS

PWS = Personal Weather Station.

1. Click “Connect a Weather Station” under the Sensor Network top menu drop-down. It may take a few seconds for the menu to show up, so be patient.

2. Select a “Personal Weather Station” device type as shown by the red arrow.

3. Click Next at the bottom of the page.

2. Select your weather station location

1. Type in your street address or better yet, select a detailed location from the map.

2. Click Next at the bottom of the page.

In the next step, you will be able to enter the weather station elevation above ground.

Your weather station elevation above mean sea-level (AMSL) and GPS coordinates will be automatically calculated based on the chosen location.

Accurate conversion of barometric pressure to mean sea-level pressure (MSLP) is necessary to enable direct comparison of weather data from around the world.

Pressure in weather forecasts is always the equivalent mean sea-level pressure (MSLP).

3. Weather station details

1. Enter your desired weather station name.

2. If elevation field is empty (was not calculated due to your browser privacy settings) please enter it here manually.

3. If MeteoHelix® IoT is not yet listed in the weather station drop-down list, please choose “other,” or request it here.

4. Enter the weather station height above ground, which will be added to the above elevation number to obtain the total elevation above mean sea-level (AMSL).

Surface Type is not required for a MeteoHelix® weather station since it is the only weather station immune to the measurement error effects of surface types found under weather stations.

5. Click Next at the bottom of the page.

4. Get your Station ID & Station Key.

Your PWS personal weather station identifier (Station ID) and data authentication key (Station Key) will be displayed so that you can correctly send your weather station data to Weather Underground.

You will require both when creating a connection between your MeteoHelix® weather station on allMeteo® and your freshly created PWS on Wunderground.

FINISHED: Device is listed

Now that your PWS is created on Weather Underground, it should be part of your device list as shown in the accompanying screenshot.

The stoplight will be colored green as soon as you create a connection between the allMeteo® portal of your MeteoHelix and Wunderground as shown in the guide at the following link:
